PRESSURE AND VELOCITY – The Open Rehearsal Project
Don’t you sometimes wish to get over the choice of material of a piece and deeper into the moment of its performance, into the situation it is creating and its potential future? Pressure and Velocity – The Open Rehearsal Project invites you to join the rehearsals, replace the surprises of a premiere with the common production of potential pieces and have your mind finally free to watch the show. Every day between 4 and 5.30 from 5th to 14th September we open the doors of MDT and welcome you to the work on Pressure and Velocity – Premiere Version.
PRESSURE AND VELOCITY – The Premiere Version is far fetched, it is a mimicry on financial speculation. Appropriating the most banned procedure from political economy, it uses speculation as a way to cross path with the conventions of production: It asks the technical support to create a sound and light score which the performance uses as an underlying stock. The performance plays derivative and creates itself in the moment on top of the score. It arranges its concept by constantly reevaluating the very current situation.

In addition, Ida Long got a lot of attention both in Sweden and abroad for the recording of Mad World, which she sings in the internationally multi-award winning trailer for the TV series Mad Men, 4th Season.
