- About Maria Jerez
Maria Jerez was born in Madrid, 1978. She mainly works in Europe and she officially lives in Madrid. Her work travels between cinema, choreography, theatre, architecture and visual arts. She is interested in the limit. Earlier works: “El Caso del Espectador” (2004), “This Side Up” (2006), “The Perfect Alibi” (2011-12). She made the film “The Movie” (2008) inside the project “The Neverstarting Story” a collaboration with Cristina Blanco, Amaia Urra and Cuqui Jerez with whom she has collaborated in several projects.
She has also worked and collaborated with Juan Domínguez, Jerôme Bel and Gary Stevens, among others. She has been part of the group of work “El CLUB” (Madrid). She has teached at Máster en Práctica Escénica y Cultura Visual 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 (Madrid). She is now planning her new projects “Sequel” (2014), “Alma de Rimel” (2015) and “Johnie”. Homepage
