While working with Sorry we have studied female RnB, HipHop and soul artists and worked with expressions, energy, dances and estetchics taken from their musicvideos and live concerts. We have been asking how the popculture we consume translate in our bodies, here on the other side of the atlantic. In Sorry we deconstruct and reconstruct in a playful exploration of the potential of this material, seeing what it is and what it can become.
- About BamBam Frost
BamBam Frost is a Swedish dancer and choreographer. She graduated from Stockholm University of the Arts, with a bachelor in contemporary dance spring 2013. Sorry is her choreographic debut and its part of a series of pieces with themes circling around black pop-culture within the western context.
Besides her own work, BamBam is touring and performing with To Come- extended by Mette Ingvartsen. She has been a part of dance collective P*fect since 2008 and has also participated in works by by Alexandra Pirici, Marina Abramovic, Paloma Madrid, Mari Carrasco and Lisa Janbell.
