Balettakademien "Vart är vi snart?"

The next generation of dancers from Balettakademien are presented in works by contemporary choreographers and themselves.

Balettakademien was founded in Stockholm in 1957 and has since then developed into one of the leading dance schools in the Nordic countries. Many of Sweden’s most successful dancers, musical artists and choreographers have studied at Balettakademien.

Jeanette Bolding "Under the skin"

 

A part of examinations work at The University College for Dance and Circus for the independent course “Tendencies within dance; general training, specific practice” and its representation in an artistic presentation. Specific applications of mind body centering and investigation of the different layers (epidermis, dermis and superficial facia) of the skin were essential to the development of movement language.

Moa Hanssen, Diego Gil, the student dancers "How Music Sounds Redux"

 

How Music Sounds Redux is an adaptation of "How Music Sounds" (2009) by Diego Gil (AR/NL), created originally for five dancers and 40 minutes long. This version is made specially for and with 17 dancers during April and May 2011. How Music Sounds Redux deals with kinetic energy, a systematized methodology and what Giorgio Agamben names "bare life".
