For one week, Salka Ardal Rosengren and Mikko Hyvönen will work on a new project at MDT.
Salka Ardal Rosengren is a Swedish dance artist based in Brussels. She started dancing in Stockholm and continued her studies in Brussels 2006 at P.A.R.T.S. (Performing Arts Research & Training Studios) where she graduated in 2010.
Salka collaborated with Mikko Hyvönen on their graduation piece Trash Talk which was also performed at MDT 2011. She has now started to work on a new performance with Nicholas Hoffman, which will explore game structures and different ways of playing.
As a dancer she is performing in Zombie Aporia and Montage for three by Daniel Linehan, Low Pieces by Xavier Le Roy, and during the summer 2012 she will perform in Tino Sehgal's new piece which is part of Documenta 13 in Kassel, Germany.
Mikko Hyvönen graduated from Performing Arts Research and Training Studios (P.A.R.T.S.) Research Cycle in Brussels in 2010 and is currently working as a freelance dancer and choreographer in Finland as well as abroad. Hyvönen seeks to remain open to the study of new approaches and views to making dance art. His most recent collaborations include: Doubt in frame / Queen of Sweden killed Descartes, Collaboration with the group of diverse artists, On the threshold with Veli Lehtovaara, Houdini's hit with Saara Töyrylä and Trash Talk with Salka Ardal Rosengren.
