- Field Works-office
In their intimate and playful performances, Heine Avdal and Yukiko Shinozaki are looking for the poetry of the everyday life. “Field Works-office” is a location-based project, which unravels the conventions of non-theatrical spaces. In this project they collaborate with sound artist Fabrice Moinet and comic book artist/performer Brynjar Åbel Bandlien. Through the use of sound displacements and cartoon like drawings, bodies and actions extend beyond their borders. With small shifts in reality, they create dreamy, absurd in-between worlds. “Field Works-office” has the power to stimulate our imagination. It premiered at Göteborg Dans and Teater Festival and has been touring various venues in Europe and Asia.
Field Works-office is a part of performance series, which seek to infiltrate different terrains and strata of society with artistic work. Codes and conventions in different type of spaces are explored and discussed. Every location generates certain kind of expectations and preconceptions of how we act in that specific space.
Field Works explores the mystery and poetry of the (social) environment, how we absorb space and are absorbed by it, and how the environment influences our behaviors. The work is extremely intimate and every spectator has a different experience. Last year they created “Field Works-nature” and “Field Works-hotel”.
Every 10 minute 2 persons can enter the performance space (the MDT office). The performance is 40 min long. You must book and buy your ticket in advance, follow the link below.
