- Red light: Mothers per minute
During Stockholm Music and Arts Poste Restante will provide the service ”Red light: Mothers per minute” to festival visitors. We have a wide selection of real mothers in different ages. Each of the mothers is bookable and will cater to your need for tenderness in her own special way – from eat buns and watch streaming-TV to charge your cellphone or read one part each of the newspaper during a sandwitch break. This service is provided for those who are bored sick with mingeling and is instead longing for unconditional tenderness.
Swedish company Poste Restante creates performances where audiences are placed inside a dilemma in a ongoing situation. Opposed to finding solutions to inner problems and conflicts, the pieces aim to create space where audience can dwell in difficult questions, and where this issues are legitimatized. Poste Restantes’s internest rests within the actual and the parameters of the situation at hand, there are no fictious backstories, no on and off stage. Audience often participate tangibly in the pieces, and Works are created with the honest yet unexpected purpose to encourage and equip audiences to work with conflicting emotions and ideals.
Poste Restante was founded in 2007 by artistic directors Linn Hilda Lamberg and Stefan Åkesson, in an active challenge of the conventions that establish theatre as a mass medium and the audience as a mass. Poste Restante has been presented in Sweden and internationally, and since then founded given eight original works. Current projects include a two-part a staging of Civilization and Its Discontents (S.Freud) in collaboration with MDT
