The audition will be held at The Royal Ballet School in Stockholm.
PARTS is a school for higher education in contemporary dance, with a full time Training Program. It offers an education for dancers and choreographers. The school was founded in 1995 by Rosas and the national opera De Munt/La Monnaie. The director of the school is Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker.
PARTS is an international school, with students and teachers coming from more than 20 different countries. The working language is English.
From September 2013 onwards, the PARTS pedagogical programme will have a new structure. The former four year curriculum is replaced by two distinctive, fully autonomous programs: 3 years Training and 2 years Research. This audition is only for the new Training Program. (The new Research will not start earlier than 2015).The goal of the Training Program remains: to develop a solid but diverse dance technique, an embodied insight into repertory and choreographic composition, a refined body-awareness and a sophisticated and informed approach to theatre, music and art history. Many courses and formats that were exclusively part of our Research Program will be transferred to the new Training Program: projects with guest choreographers, personal work, in-depth repertory studies, end of study performances in theatres.
