Here the bitter cold and the fading dreams of utopia play the leading roles.
As well as hunting skills and simple decent humanity.
Someone lost her skates and somebody else returns them.
A vague story, blurry like all dreams.
When Gunilla Heilborn made her last production, “The Academy”, she was at a residency in Poznan, Poland, with 2 of the performers and the set designer to start up the project. One evening in a restaurant, working on getting used to the Polish cuisine, they tried to come up with a title for the piece. They played around with the thought of taking an existing title and just put a 2 after. One of the films on the list was Gorky Park. So that would be Gorky Park 2. Wow, she thought, I would love to make that piece, but it is not this one. So she kept the title somewhere in the back of her head, saving it for another production. Now the time has come to take that title, spell it in her favorite way – Gorkij Park, add a 2 and start working.

Residency presentation will be in studio 1.
