- The Hollows II
In “The Hollows II” Robin Jonsson builds on his earlier works when he uses the concept of infection in a black-box performance situation to subvert the roles and the contract between performers and spectators.
To be premiered in April 2013 in Utrecht, TweetaktIf you plan to attend, please RSVP!
Robin Jonsson has made 3 different productions that focused on appropriating artificial characters unto the stage, using materials from different medias, especially but not only computer games, manga, animation and puppetry. These characters where consistently and thoroughly placed within different fictional worlds, created by rules, laws, physic and sound of their own. The physical specificity of an unreal being remains an interest of Robin Jonsson as he will continue to work with the appropriation of movement-material from human-like characters found in cinematic media. This time his range of options are more limited and his interest is more defined. He will focus the choreographical work on some specific aspects belonging to the undead zombie. Robin Jonsson studied at the Royal Swedish Ballet School in Stockholm and at P.A.R.T.S in Brussels.
