Stage

MDT’s stage was originally an engineering workshop for torpedo maintenance, built for and used by the Swedish Navy. The walls of the performing area are white stone walls with large windows on all three walls, which can be covered with white wooden hatches. The walls of the performing area can also be covered with black velvet curtains. The ceiling is painted black with a grid for light and sound etc. The stage area floor is light coloured wood, and can also be covered with a vinyl floor, either white or black vinyl. Dressing Rooms

We have two connected dressing rooms big enough for use by up to ten people, located very close to the stage. Both dressing rooms are equipped with dressing tables, mirrors, clothes hangers, iron and iron board. There are two showers, two toilets, and a small kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave oven and kitchen supplies. There is also a washing machine available.

Studio 1

Studio 1 is used both as a rehearsal room and a stage. The room has white stone walls, a vaulted ceiling covered with white square acoustic tiles and a wooden parquet floor. Studio 1 can be covered entirely in either black or white vinyl floor. There are four aluminium pipes in the ceiling that make it possible to suspend lights, speakers or props in the ceiling  (it is not possible to suspend heavy weight or personnel lifting from the pipes). A MDT technician must always be contacted before you start rigging. For more information, measures and pictures see the links below:

Studio 2

Studio 2 is slightly smaller than Studio 1 and has a small booth in one corner cutting into some of the floorplan. Studio 2 used to be a workshop for testing torpedoes back when the space was used by the Swedish Navy. Apart from the small booth, the room is similar to Studio 1. It has four pipes running along the ceiling that can be used to rig lights and the same acoustic tiles in the ceiling as Studio 1. It also has a small toilet and shower next to the stairwell.
