Åsa Lundvik Gustafson

Åsa has been working as a freelance dancer with Stockholm as her base for over ten years. Before that, Åsa was at the Cullberg Ballet for more than 15 years and worked with choreographers such as Mats Ek, Stijn Celis, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Johan Inger, Alexander Ekman and Ohad Naharin. As a freelancer in Stockholm, Åsa has worked a lot in the last ten years with performances aimed at children and young people, at both ZebraDans, Teater Tre, Ingrid Olterman dans and with Julia Kraus Dybeck. With Anne Jonsson, Åsa has had a slightly longer collaboration in recent years in three different productions. Together with David Nondorf,

Åsa created "The Dance of Death" for Strindberg's Intima teatern, a performance that has been played on and off for the past three years. With Helena Franzén, Åsa has previously worked in several productions over several years both on tour and in Stockholm. Lisa Östberg, Anna Vnuk and Magdalena Eriksson are also some choreographers that Åsa has worked with over the years. With Mats Flink, Åsa has collaborated more cross-border between theatre, text and dance. In addition to working as a stage artist, Åsa teaches ballet, modern, repertoire and improvisation to both professionals and students at, among others, Cullberg, the Ballet Academy in Stockholm and Norrdans. Åsa has also choreographed and acted as a movement coach for Anna Pettersson's works for Strindberg's Intima teater and Dramaten.
