Michael Bekele, born 1988 in Herrenberg Germany, is a writer and filmmaker based in Berlin and Stockholm. The idea of creating dramatic narratives through both the body and the unconscious has been an extremely captivating one to Michael. His latest short-film “Black Square” has been an exploration of different somatic practices such as somatic abolitionism as described in Resmaa Menakem’s seminal work “My Grandmother’s Hands”.
