3za 4 Gaza is initiated by Nasreen Aljanabi Larsson and is organised in collaboration with Ar Utke Ács and Sal Reis Trouxa with financial support from Stockholm Stad. MDT is happy to open up our doors for this project on the 8&9th of June. On Friday 7 June it will take place at Höjden Studios.

3za 4 Gaza [Azza for Gaza] is a collective mourning gathering for the collective martyrdom in solidarity with the survivors: three days of remembering them and praying for their souls to rest in peace.

Inspired by the Azza ritual in the Muslim community, when the family open house for three days for beloved and friends to drop in and show their condolences. Drink a strong bitter coffee and meditate on the sound of spiritual Quran singing. Remembering the lost person and comfort their family, their beloved ones, by sharing their grief.

3za 4 Gaza invites you to a space for collective grief as we do believe in the transformative power of grief into solidarity and action. We will hold that space for and with each other and throughout the three days, a number of local and international artists and organisations will contribute:

Salma Shaka
Nour Shantout
Siham Shurafa
Gülbeden Kulbay
Nasreen Aljanabi Larsson
Wafa Jamil
Nordic Palestinian Film Festival
Gaza Monologues and Letters to Gaza by Ashtar Theatre
Kite workshop in collaboration with Munnen
Hydra Community Care
