Aesthetic Individuals Perform in Sensual Capitalism talk

This talk will address the current hyperindividual aestheticization of everyday life. What do we understand by performance and “artification” in experience economy with its sensual (multisensory) logic of value? What are the stances that contemporary dance could take in regard of experience, intensity, somatics etc. once these notions begin to overdetermine work, business and social life in global capitalist society? Bojana Cvejić will unfold the ideas of her current research, “Performing the Self in the 21st Century” (conducted in collaboration with Ana Vujanović and Marta Popivoda).
