Dance film & book release: Make Hay While the Sun Shines

The live performances of “Make Hay While the Sun Shines” have been postponed into an unknown future. Instead, we invite you to the release of two new parts of the project: a short dance film and a book of conversations with the dancers involved in the project.

“Make Hay While the Sun Shines” is a project which maps the dancing movements of our histories. The dance performance engages in time specific and partial views, the uncategorized details that pre-exists the whole, and the chaos called reality. Stemming from a movement practice based on disharmonious change, a dance which might be more like life itself is created: irregular, fascinating, unsuccessful, stumbling, loving and pretty unpredictable.

“Make Hay While the Sun Shines” departs from a movement practice which favours change. Quick and constant change. With the dance, the film and the written down conversations, we want to welcome all our histories into the room. We say yes to spontaneous habits and tiresome stumbles, to memories of dance classes, performances, meetings, clubs or other moving moments that have been part of our lives. And then, we move on.
