MDT 30 years: Seminars + Film Screenings + Book Release

As part of "A Fine Selection: Special Edition!" we celebrate our 30th anniversary with a book by dance scholar Cecilia Malmström Olsson, art director Jonas Williamsson and cartoonist Samuel Nyholm aka Sany. We also show screenings of classics from back in the hay day and we give you a series of talks with focus on the now and the then. Yup, 30 years, MDT was inaugurated as Stiftelsen Moderna Dansteatern 24/9 – 1987! The year of classics such as “I wanna dance with somebody” or “Sign ‘O the Times” or “Welcome to the jungle”, but also the breakthrough of postmodernism in dance and theory in Sweden. So one foot there and one foot here, stepping towards the future.
