MDT is collaborating with an initiative called Back2work, a series of workshops to bring together and develop skills in the performance field after the pandemic. The workshop series is initiated by Josefina Björk, together with Poste Restante. One of the workshops that will take place at MDT is: "Persona, drag & transformation".

For the seventh edition of back2work: Persona, drag and transformation, we have invited the dragkin Larry and RichHard from the legendary drag group: Gutta. They describe their workshop like this: “Our awareness is big and limitless, but you can often forget that. One can quickly settle for it to be cramped, small, limited and dry. We would like to suggest a big, soft, deep, wet, warm and ravenous awareness. During two half days, we want to help ourselves and each other into the power of transformation. We want to try to open up spaces together, where we can find new fantasies about ourselves and others.”

RichHard and Larry are two of the members of the drag king collective Gutta, a female masculine community. They have a background in performing arts which they use as an arena to explore community and traits. The guys are notorious for their shameless and obscure shows, appearing in everything from artistic, queer to communal and activist contexts. Guys use humor to access the deep-seated need to push boundaries on how to behave and how to present the themes you want to talk about. Through humor and play, they want to create a lightness around what can seem big, difficult and pretentious.

Persona, drag and transformation will be held on November 25-26 from 11 am to 4 pm (lunch break 1 pm to 2 pm) at MDT, Slupskjulsvägen 30. To register, you need to be able to participate on both days. The workshop costs SEK 50 and is open to all functions within the performance field, no prior knowledge is required and first come, first served. The workshop will be in english.
