On two subsequent tuesdays, MAKOR100003 (The Master Program in Choreography) at DOCH and MDT present two artistic lectures at MDT. The invited artists are Anne Juren and Cristian Duarte. Their lectures give insight into their choreographic work, working methods, strategies, materials and references.

- About Anne Juren
Anne Juren (FR) is a choreographer and dancer based in Vienna. After her diploma of dance at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Danse de Lyon and her studies of French literature at the Sorbonne, she finished her apprenticeship at the Trisha Brown Company in New York in 2000. She founded the association Wiener Tanz- und Kunstbewegung in Vienna and created several choreographies like the solo ”A?” (2003), ”J’aime” (2004) in collaboration with Alice Chauchat, the solo ”Code Series” (2005), ”Look Look” (2007) in collaboration with Kroot Juurak, and the group piece ”Komposition” (2008). In 2008 she was also artist in residence at the Tanzquartier Wien and took part in the two European artistic programs IDEE and APAP in which she developed a series of works called ”Patterns of Sport and Dance”. In 2009, she worked as a choreographer for the Burgtheater and co-curated the festival ”Quick Change” at the Tanzquartier Wien in Vienna. In 2010 she presented with DD Dorvillier and Annie Dorsen ”Pièce Sans Paroles”, a Tenessee Williams’s piece for two characters performed without words, and premiered in collaboration with Annie Dorsen and her magic piece ”Magical” at the Impulstanz Festival. Her latest work ”Tableaux Vivants” was a collaboration with the fine artist Roland Rauschmeier and the Austrian composer Johannes Maria Staud which premiered in November 2011 in the TQW in cooperation with Tanzquartier Wien and WIEN MODERN. In the moment she works on ”Lost and Found”, a choreographic work reflecting upon the interplay of memory, projection and factual events which is going to be on stage by the end of 2012. Recently Anne Juren is a Feldenkrais® practitioner.
