Lilach Livne and Tal Haring will experience and explore their new work Open Game which plays with the ambition to flatten our existence. Open Game is a social-trip-game-performance with the aim to create a virtual site on stage. They, the choreographer Lilach Livne and the filmmaker Tal Haring, collaborate for the first time in order to create a place there the subject could lose its known status to enable a new subjectivity. To support their idea they turned to the latest developments in technology and created a system that could make their vision an object in reality by transforming any real person into his virtual self and place back in reality.
They want to bring the presence of a person to the front in a world gone virtual/
They want to return the feeling of the body in a world gone virtual/
They want to reach the source of the code so they could touch the new logic/
”Open Game” is a term invented by the philosopher Immanuel Kant which describes the ”game” that is occurring between the mind and the Imagination in the moment of an aesthetic judgment. In this research Livne and Haring are trying to make this game of the mind and imagination visible in space, and to see what will happen if they will include in this Open Game of the mind and imagination the body itself. What form can this game have? How does the body take part and affects those thought processes? They are curious about the new mix that can be created if bluring the actual body with all the senses and information it carries, with the endless information and links that are running in the virtual world.
With which body we are dealing in the Pixels Time that we are living in?
”Open Game” will be a hyper technology lab combined with a spiritual world, an attempt to create a virtual site on stage.
