During their two week-residency at MDT, Élie Autin and Clara Delorme will mainly focus on two points of research.

The first and most important, as the dates are approaching, will be to reflect on the piece "Présage," which Élie has already presented in various places in Europe but will now be presented in Congo this summer!

The research will revolve around how to address the piece to the audience, which will be mostly Afro-descendant, unlike the Western contexts in which Élie mainly finds herself.

The second point will involve the collection of images and immaterial imaginings that we have in our minds. These could enable the sketching out of avenues for an eventual dance and performance piece or for the creation of a new visual art piece. Perhaps both?

“I’ll definitely use this beautiful opportunity/privilege to calm down a bit the overwhelming and fast way of thinking art… And to dive into my personal desires.” - Élie Autin
