Residencies

We host residencies as part of our co-production work, but also offer studio time for unpaid residencies for research and/or development of new work, throughout the year. 

Technical assistance and assistance from staff is limited for residencies that are not part of our co-production programme, but we always do our best to accommodate the artists’ needs, using resources available in-house. An overview of MDT:s studios and technical resources can be found here 

If you would like to express interest in a residency at MDT please send an email to programming@mdtsthlm.se clearly marking the email RESIDENCY APPLICATION + Name of artist/group in the subject line. In the email please include some information about the project or research you intend to work on, and if we haven’t worked with you before a CV/short bio and some information about your practice is also welcome. 

You will receive an auto-reply stating when you can expect to hear back from us, and which periods are currently being scheduled for residencies.  

Due to a busy performance schedule during the seasons we are seldom able to host technical residencies on stage. Please also note that it is not possible to hire the studios or the stage for self-organised residencies.
